La Voyage Dans La Lune

Here's a film by George's Méliès named La Voyage Dans La Lune, 1902. The recent Academy award winner "Hugo" by Martin Scorcese honors the early filmmaker. This is the first science fiction film and worthy of a look-see by future communicators whether entertainers or not.

WAYS TO MAKE MONEY

Here's a way to make money. This CNN clip talks about a company named ZAZZLE. They make objects with your design, other's designs. You can sell on your site and/or theirs. They also have an associate program. Embed in your site or blog and drive traffic their way. Either way you make money, a higher percentage for your designs.

"Healing at the Speed of Sound"

An interview with Don Campbell, co-author of "Healing at the Speed of Sound"... Campbell talks about his studies and those of others, that reveal certain sensory needs of the human being. There is a need for quiet (sometimes) and order in sound. Certain kinds of music bring calm and order. The WHO (World Health Organization) has pointed out the negative health effects of sound pollution. His mission is to improve the quality of sound, to improve the quality of life.

It's an hour long interview, but worth a listen. There are some questions that follow...Like: Are we equally affected by the wealth of other forms of stimulus that bombard all day long? Do I do myself harm by insisting on falling asleep with the TV on? Does constantly checking and responding to texts and emails, mask a need for a quiet mind, or a need to focus myself in nothingness.

But I digress. Campbell's concern is healing with sound. Relax, sit back and consider how you might alter your life by choosing different forms of stimulus. Or, no stimulus at all. CH

More Than You Bargained For!

Freud on the Beach: Wave Theory - NYTimes.com:
A blog post by Andy Martin is available at the above link. He muses on the source and meaning of feelings of "transcendence."

It is possible for you to get "more than you bargained for." But, first there must be a bargain. You must have a vision, engage and do the work. Often there is more than you bargained for. CH
